All on board are happy and well. The weather remains overcast but good. We encountered our first icebergs today and we have a happy winner in the great 'iceberg stakes'. Final preparations for our arrival at Casey are being completed; including a comprehensive briefing for SPP and crew on the refuelling process, and the completion of a joint EMT exercise with Serco (man over board scenario in Newcomb Bay). Later this afternoon we will complete the last of the environmental inductions, biosecurity cleaning of expeditioner kit, and planning for the capture and deployment of the whale mooring tomorrow. ETA estimates remain unchanged. We will likely be at the whale mooring location at approximately 0800 on the 20th Dec. This gives us an ETA at Casey early afternoon of the 21st Dec.
