Comments

With barely a ripple in the ocean, one could easily imagine that we were already making out way up the Derwent River, rather than crossing the final stretches of the Southern Ocean. With 3 days until we will make our way up the river to Hobart Town (scheduled arrival Friday 1st Dec), we continue to enjoy calm conditions and easy travel. It's been 50 days since Nuyina departed Hobart and the notion of arriving and disembarking still feels like a distant reality, and even more so for those who have just passed the last 12 months at Davis Station. Navigating the streets of Hobart, supermarkets, paying for coffee and meals, smells, humidity and unfamiliar faces, well that's a whole other set of challenges that await the Davis wintering team.
