Like a well-choreographed operation, water trucks moved between the shore and the ship, perfectly off-set for maximum efficiency. Under the control of the abruptly inaugurated 77th ANARE team, water transfer was completed by 03:30am, having delivered 236,000l of freshwater to Davis Station. Riding on the back of this success and continuing stable conditions, preparation tasks for refuelling are underway. Although, and importantly, not before the in-going Davis summer team was dispatched to station with jubilation and relief from all sides, their season being dependant on that water delivery to station. By later today we hope to be in a position of start pumping SAB to the station, a round-the-clock operation that is expected to take approximately 20 hours.
