This mornings coffee view was somewhat more reassuring, with the fast ice edge seeming to have stabilised after yesterday's rapid regression. Still feeling suspicious, we deployed our resident Davis FTO's (Field Training Officers) to assess the ice. The remaining ice maintains good thickness and dryness (a measure of quality), giving us enough confidence to bring the last items of critical northbound cargo out to the ship using Hägglunds. We are keeping one eye on the ice edge and wondering what tomorrow will bring.
