Vigilant observation and testing on the Davis sea ice over the past 48 hours has indicated that conditions have stabilised somewhat. With this, resupply operations have recommenced. Today's operation involves the critical task of supplying station with enough fresh water to sustain essential station activities. With station already operating year-round on tight water restrictions, every drop is precious. Our aim is to deliver 200,000l to station in the next 24 hours, all things Antarctic permitting. Meanwhile a Twin Otter aircraft departed Davis for Mawson, taking with it 4 people and is due back to Davis today with 4 from Mawson, who will join the ships complement for the northbound voyage.
