Comments
We've arrived! This mornings transit through wide swaths of cloud-like brash ice felt more like flying than sailing. Before long, this was replaced with icebergs and a distant view of land. Shortly after, a photo was sent from station (the benefits of improved communications), of the ship lurking on the horizon. Although lurking isn't really the correct term for the purposeful approach made toward station, keen to get the onboard Davis team to their new home. We are now parked 0.7nm or 1.3km from station, eager faces pressed against the glass on both sides of the fast ice.
