Comments

During the quiet of last night we glided over the 60th parallel and into Antarctic waters. A brief snow storm marked the occasion (for those awake to see the swirling snowflakes, mesmerising in the ships searchlights). A blustery day kept most people inside, with only the brave seabird scientists venturing out, only to the find conditions a tad challenging (even for the birds). One more iceberg was sighted and excitement is building with the anticipation of seeing more ice soon.
