Comments

After the early morning bustle of passport checks and final phone calls (while still in range), at 0815 Nuyina cast off the mooring lines and headed out into a flat calm ocean under crisp blue skies. And with that, we are on our way at a blistering 16 knots. Numerous common dolphins enjoyed a play in the ship's wake while several whales kept everyone entertained throughout the morning. After turning Tasmania's North West corner, just above Three Hummock Island and Hunter Island, we were met by the gentlest of ocean swells. While less than 1m, it was still enough to bring a sense of quiet to the ship, with many not quite ready to test their sea legs and opting for a little lie down.
