The infrastructure teams heading to both Davis and Mawson Stations have been making the most of the calm conditions that being at anchor allows us and are holding various briefings about the major projects scheduled for the season ahead (more to come on these later). Fine morning weather allowed for an emergency muster drill in the open air of the helideck and an opportunity to look at and try on critical emergency equipment, particularly the immersion suits, which when wearing best resemble bright yellow Teletubbies, albeit very warm ones. Increasing winds and rough seas this afternoon have not deterred the resident seals who have been spending large amounts of time playing next to Nuyina, much to everyone's entertainment. Tomorrow morning we will move to the berth at Burnie to beginning the refuelling process.
