The weather in Antarctica is a fickle thing. Yesterday we only managed one hour of cargo operations due to the wind not playing nice. By dinner last night we called it a day. The winds showed no signs of abating and the temperatures were cooling. The upside is that it enabled us time to do other tasks including working on plans for Davis.
This morning we are once again waiting for the weather to abate. It teases us by almost dropping to just within operational parameters then goes up again. We are hoping to commence operations after lunch.
There is not a cloud in the sky and the sun is glistening and glimmering off the ripples in the bay.
Cheers
