Comments: Voyage 1 expeditioners should leave all personal effects (other than the permitted 30 kg cabin baggage) at Macquarie 4 Cargo Facility on or before Sunday 3 October. Expeditioners boarding the Aurora Australis on 5 October will not be able to carry more than the allowed 30 kg of personal effects as cabin baggage. Purpose of voyage: Continental changeover

Comments: Cargo/equipment for V2 must be cleared through the M4 Cargo Facility. CASA 212 aircraft will be used to transfer personnel between Davis and Mawson. CASA 212 passengers will retain the 55kg personal effects limit normally applied to helicopter flights between ship and shore. Personal effects for Mawson expeditioners in excess of 55kg will be shipped on Voyage 4. Strict limitations will be appplied to the quantity of cargo to be flown between Davis and Mawson. Late and/or unmanifested cargo will not be accepted. Port and ship security arrangements will be in place while the vessel is in port in Hobart and Fremantle. The AAD will fund the RTA airfares (from Fremantle to the expeditioner's Australian state of residence) and one night's accommodation in Fremantle for AAD expeditioners. Unless previously agreed, airfare and accommodation arrangements for non AAD personal will need to made by the relevant sponsoring organisation.

Comments: Marine science voyage departing from Fremantle, Western Australia. The AAD will fund the airfares (from Hobart) and any necessary short term accommodation in Fremantle for AAD personnel on this voyage. Airfare and accommodation arrangements for non-AAD personnel will need to be made by the relevant sponsoring organisation. Port and ship security arrangements will be in place whilst the vessel is in port. Enquiries regarding this voyage should be directed to Andrew Deep on (03) 6232 3115 or SAO. Voyage timings may be brought forward or delayed by several days, and final timings may not be established until within a few days of the published departure date.
