Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provided by Telus Health, is a free, professional and confidential support service available to all AAD employees and labour hire contractors, AAP participants (regardless of affiliated agency) and their immediate families.

If you are in an emergency, or at immediate risk of harm to yourself or others, call 000.

Through our EAP you are able to access a range of tools and services designed to support your health and wellbeing, both at work and in your personal life.

For confidential support (24/7/365) please call 1300 360 364 (this number can be called from stations), or International +61 2 8295 2292 .

When you call TELUS Health, you will initially speak with a National Contact Centre (NCC) team member who will assist in you in booking an appointment with a clinician. In taking your call, they will ask you for some personal details to create a client profile, and information about the main reason for seeking support to help them in connecting you with the most appropriate clinician. With this information, they will book you the next available appointment via phone, video or face-to-face, depending on your preference and whichever is available sooner. All information collected by TELUS Health is strictly confidential and will not be shared with the Department and/or Australian Antarctic Division.

If you are a current/returned expeditioner or immediate family member of a current/returned expeditioner, please let the NCC team member know as they will connect you to a clinician who has an understanding of the Australian Antarctic Program.
