Wednesday, or hump day as they call it, when you are halfway through the week, but for us, we are halfway through our cargo discharge! We've been steadily sending pallets, boxes, crates, tractors, excavators and frozen peas ashore for four days now and we've also managed to get a good number of project teams ashore, none more excited that our 'seal team' who are now busily surveying and tagging the elephant seals common to Macquarie Island for their research. The forecast weather continues to be marginal but we're hoping for a clearer day over the weekend to finally send some flights of cargo and people down island. Fingers crossed for the days ahead to bring us some unseasonably good weather...
