Comments

After yesterday's departure and a lovely day in the Derwent river training with the ship's crew and watercraft teams we are now well on our way to Macquarie Island. This is primarily a resupply voyage but we certainly have a good number of scientist on board who (along with everyone else) are keen to get ashore and get to work but not without a few briefings and meetings first. The calm seas have meant most of the team on board are up and about, enjoying the views, testing the coffee machines and lounge areas and settling into life on board the RSV Nuyina. It's a short trip to Macca from Hobart so we'll be there before we know it and we now look skywards and to the horizon as the sub-Antarctic weather starts to reveal its hand...
