Overnight, the RSV Nuyina slowed to a steady 7kts in response to reduced visibility and an increased concentration of icebergs along our route. Keen eyes on the bridge maintained a lookout as the tally of icebergs within a 3nm radius of the ship hovered around 100. Daylight has afforded us increased speed, whale sightings and even a rare jade berg, drifting gently off our port side.
Our estimated time of arrival (ETA) off Davis remains somewhere in the PM of tomorrow, the 27th. Working with our colleagues at station we look to take advantage of a weather window on the 28th to undertake helicopter and watercraft operations.
