Today we are feeling a little bit rock and roll as we pass back over the 60th line of latitude and head out into the oceanic realm on our homeward journey. The ship is rolling as much as it has on the journey so far and time seems to alternately speed up and slow down as we negotiate the central stairwell.
We are taking a slightly northerly route in an effort to elegantly side step a weather system. If we get it right then things should calm down over the next few days. But if we get it wrong, we may run into our dance partner and then all sorts of awkwardness may ensue. A fog which was slowing us down has lifted and we are now able to make a bit more speed with confidence.
We don't feel lonely out here as both Happy Dragon and Aiviq are both currently within a few hundred miles. An unusual trio of vessels all heading for the same destination. Nuyina will be last to reach Hobart so please leave some room at the wharf for us.
A reminder to all on board that the rule that says that you can eat all you want past 60 degrees south with no consequences, no longer applies.
It's diet time, people.
