Comments

This morning, the reduced visibility that has been keeping us company for the last few days has tightened its grip on Nuyina and we have slowed to 7 knots as we feel our way through berg infested waters. Some whales popped up yesterday afternoon but they could be holding a rave party out there today and we wouldn't know it.

Excellent weather for Rob and Anton as they continue to labour inside the wet well down beside the engine room, sampling all sort of aquatic delights as we go along. Some have dared to suggest that Nuyina had to be 160 meters long in order to accommodate the enormous breadth of Rob King's scientific vision. In fact, Rob has had a more fundamental effect on the ships dimensions. Being somewhat taller than the rest of us, he was the direct inspiration for every bunk on Nuyina being 2.1 metres long. There's no need to bring the custom-made bunk extension along anymore!

We have just turned on to a south-east heading to make a more direct line for Casey.
