We are making good progress as we pass about 150 nautical miles to the north of the Shackleton ice shelf. The weather continues to be generous with us as we pass through patches of sunshine and snow showers while unidentified whales have been teasing us with fleeting appearances.
Our trajectory is taking us slightly southwards and there are a few more icebergs dotted around the vessel today. Each berg has been critiqued by the ship's company for shape and size but there are always bigger and better icebergs to be seen.
In fact, something big and tabular is looming on our horizon at the moment.
