The Australian Antarctic Division has 4 permanent research stations in Antarctica and the sub-Antarctic, plus a collection of other field locations.

Scientists and support staff occupy MawsonDavis and Casey stations year-round. Wilkins Aerodrome is staffed seasonally, serving as the Antarctic terminal for intercontinental flights from Hobart each summer.

The Australian Antarctic Division manages other significant areas in the sub-Antarctic, such as Macquarie Island station which operates year-round, and Heard Island and McDonald Islands.
