Disembarked the last of our southbound passengers today for station handover.
Discharged personal effects cargo and refuelling equipment ashore. We also reconfigured the AIVIQ main deck cargo to access our two refrigerated containers (think Tetris with 6-ton containers on a moving deck in 30+ knot sub-Antarctic winds).
Weather continues to be challenging and we had to reposition the ship several times to take advantage of terrain affected wind-lanes to conduct operations safely and within our SOP parameters. Fortunately, the AIVIQs advanced dynamic positioning system enables us to do this at short notice and relatively quickly (at least for a 110m, 12800-ton icebreaker)
Weather tomorrow doesn't look particularly pleasant but we are hoping we are presented with a narrow window to get some cargo moving.
