Comments

The seas have not been as big as expected. There have been a few rogue rolls large enough to cause chairs to slide across the floor, but otherwise it is relatively calm. It is too windy to venture outside today, but we are making do inside. Deck of Cards was on again this morning, just like every other day of the voyage. At 1100, expeditioners battled it out in an intense game of Settlers of Catan. At 1400, there is the regular screening of Alone - a reality survival TV show. Tonight, after the daily 1900 meeting, Dr Maddie will deliver a long-awaited science talk. Maddie has an incredible breath of Antarctic marine science experience and we are all very excited to hear about Antarctic worms, whales, and more.

Those in supervisory positions are busy drafting reports and EPRs (Expeditioner Performance Reports). Our expected arrival in Hobart is now 08 March, which is earlier than originally expected. Hotel and flight bookings, debriefs, and other post-arrival activities will be brought forward to match this new arrival date. With only two more time changes and one week to go, the end of the voyage, and for many a year in Antarctica, is quickly creeping up.

REGARDS: Sam and Anthony
