Comments

It is a windy, wild day as we continue steaming towards Davis. We are all settling back into life on a moving ship and the Mawson winterers have been enjoying long sleeps and hot showers. Operationally, today has been a mixture of debriefs and briefs. Anthony, Sam, Mick and Jeff sat down this morning for a more intimate debrief that focused predominantly on the planning process for Mawson refuelling. Later this afternoon, Jeff will lead a broader refuelling debrief for everyone who was involved in refuelling operations. In amongst this, planning continues for our Davis cargo discharge and PAX transfer. All nine Watercraft Operators met this morning to discuss the finer details of this operation. This operation will see us discharge 2 tonnes of cargo via IRB. We will also retrieve six people who have spent the summer at Davis. We are due to arrive at Davis at 0100 on Tuesday and operations are set to commence at 0700. Given the early start, we will run our toolbox meeting for everyone involved this evening after dinner.

Given the quick transit to Davis, we have had to do two time changes in two days. We are now aligned to Davis Station time.
