Yesterday was a huge success. The whole day was extremely smooth. We started pumping first thing in the morning and it was a quiet day until the pumps shut off in the evening. The weather was perfect, everyone was on the ball, and we achieved an excellent flow rate for our fuel. We stopped the pumps at 1830; 1.5 hours before our dedicated finish time. Mawson Station's tanks are now full, with AIVIQ having delivered their Special Antarctic Blend diesel fuel. The refuelling effort was led by Jeff, 'Rockstar' Mick (aptly named after proving himself an absolute Rockstar on his first Antarctic voyage), and Brownie. Thanks to their careful, calm, and safe approach, we can now sit back and relax for the rest of the voyage. Just joking! There is loads more to do. But that is certainly one big job out of the way.

Today we will be supporting the dry cargo resupply of Mawson Station. Happy Diamond moored up in the harbour last night and resupply operations have just begun. We have seven people ashore today to wash dishes and unpack containers. We will also be doing a special IRB run to deliver immunoglobulins and vaccines. The cold chain of this critical cargo must be managed carefully. Ten of the AIVIQ crew will spend two hours ashore this afternoon. Another ten will head ashore tomorrow. We have another four of our team staying ashore tonight. This includes refuelling Jeff and Mick. It is rare for the refuelling team to get a night ashore and they are very excited for their stay.

REGARDS: Sam and Anthony
