It was entertaining stooging in the local Mawson area yesterday. We passed the same jade icebergs and seal on each of our circuits so if we did not get a good photo the first time we tried again on the next time around. By the end of the day the sea was glassy calm, hardly any movement, it was awesome. We are hoping we get more of these conditions for refuelling and resupply operations.
The Aiviq arrived this morning and it is great to see her in Kista Strait. For us we are still stooging, though it is a little closer than our usual circuit. We are waiting for the katabatic winds to drop so we can move into Kista Strait and get on with our day assisting with passenger and cargo movements from the Aiviq.
Cheers
