Almost 50% of RTA cargo from Davis was loaded to the Happy Diamond yesterday. 73.69% is now on board.
Today is a rest day not only due to the wind blowing in gale proportions, 45-55 knots (84-100 KPH) but we have been doing cargo operations for 5 of the last 6 days so it is time for some rest and recuperation. It is taxing being out in the cold for long periods of time whether working on the watercraft, the ship or shore so spending a day inside in the warm certainly helps.
We remain anchored in Prydz Bay with the ship engine running keeping us nicely secured in position. I look out of my cabin window and see many white caps as the waves move past the ship and splash up against the local islands with the bigger gusts of winds blowing the water into the air. Tomorrow conditions are expected to be similar but not as 'breezy'.
Cheers
