We dropped anchor in Prydz Bay at 7pm last night but unfortunately the weather today is too windy for any watercraft or cargo operations.
Today's weather is the opposite to yesterday when we had the most glorious evening to enter Prydz Bay. The sun was beaming as we sailed in open water until turning to port (left) to enter Prydz Bay. The crew then seamlessly manoeuvred the ship through the ice floes and icebergs with the sun glistening off each piece. We sailed past Gardner Island and the Adelie penguin rookery. There must be a lot of penguins in that rookery as there were a lot in the water escorting us as well as on land. We continued to Anchorage Island where a graceful starboard (right) turn was made into open water and our anchorage location.
Cheers
