As we completed resupply yesterday which is a few days earlier than scheduled, we are using the time to continue preparations for the resupply of our next two stations, Davis then Mawson.
We were able to have a productive Microsoft teams meeting with Davis whilst we are able to access Casey's internet. We confirmed and refined more resupply details for inclusion in the Davis Voyage Operations Plan. We discussed cargo preparation and readiness, cargo compliance checks, discharge of priority cargo, crane test lifts to confirm the lifting capacity of the crane, our communication strategy and accommodation ashore requirements.
Crew members are always smiling but tonight the smile of 11 of them is a bit bigger as they were provided a tour of Casey. It is their first time off the ship for many months so it was great for them to put their feet on solid ground. What a place to do it!!!! I believe there were a couple of cheeky Adelie penguins that made them feel welcome by greeting them at the wharf.
Cheers
