Final touches to the Voyage 5 Voyage Operations Plan are complete and it has been forward to the AAD for approval. This document includes information on how resupply will run, key players and contact information, assets available to undertake cargo operations, communications, traffic management plans, work hours, project support, cargo and watercraft rosters, emergency management, medical support, weather and ice forecasts. This is quite a large document and is developed by the Voyage Leader in conjunction with the Deputy Voyage Leader, Station Leader, Resupply Coordinator, Beachmaster, Watercraft Coordinator and other personnel on the ship and at station.

I wish to thank everyone at Casey, on the Happy Diamond and the Shipping Team in Kingston for their continued efforts and good spirits in enabling a safe resupply. Casey has it's supplies for another year. At 1830 tonight we pull up anchor and head to Davis to do it all over again.

It has almost happened!! Standing on the bridge wing this morning half of the chunk of ice we have been watching over the almost 3 weeks we have been at Casey fell into the bay. The Chief Officer, Watercraft Coordinator and I heard the bang and looked over to see that large piece of ice disintegrate into the bay. There remains a large portion bravely hanging on and we are hoping it will drop before our departure.

Cheers
Leanne and Jacob
