Version 5 of the RTA (return to Australia) cargo manifest arrived in our email inboxes overnight. Cargo operations were started later this morning to enable the DVL, Captain and Chief Officer time to adjust the stow plan for the vessel taking into account the changes between Version 4 and Version 5 of the manifest. If you have been following our sitreps you will realise by now there is a particular order in which we discharge and load cargo to ensure the ship stays balanced and we can maximise the cargo load. It is a delicate balance.

It is another great day at Casey. The ice floes coming into the harbour are larger than previous days and the sun is glistening on the water as the cargo team at the wharf load the watercraft. The watercraft are working in tandem with the barge or pontoon coming alongside the ship to discharge cargo about every 15 minutes. Then we do it again, and again, and again .........

It is an absolute privilege to work in such an incredible environment even though we are concentrating on cargo operations we do take a few moments now and again to view the sights.

Cheers
Leanne and Jacob
