We finished discharging the cargo in the tween deck and made it to the lower hold. We are setting up for the movement of machinery. To do this four pontoons become one – they are joined together in a T shape and the piece of machinery (a tractor is the first one) sits in the cross of the T so the weight is balanced in the centre. Cameras are out in preparation to get the best happy snap.
We are still on 'ice falling' watch as the large chunk of ice is gradually collapsing and crumbling into the bay. Earlier today a hole appeared and the light shone through with a vivid light blue colour emanating from it. Pretty amazing experience to watch the ever changing landscape.
Cheers
