Comments

Today when we woke up there were a couple of quite large pieces of ice floating in front of the wharf. The barge was put in the water and used to move the ice out of the way. It has enough power to move quite larges pieces of ice out of our 'shipping lane'.

While this was happening the ship's crew put in the two twin pontoons into the water beside the ship and working together with the watercraft operators the pontoons were joined together. We have two workboats on board, The Ox and The Bull which are used as the engines to move the pontoons. Having this amount of deck space enable for x 10 foot ISO containers to be transferred to station at once. We will move most of them ashore by the end of the day. Each ISO is too heavy to be carried on the barge and using the pontoons in this configuration allows us to transport them four at a time.

Cheers,
Leanne and Jacob
