Another good day of cargo operations are underway. The configuration of four pontoons together and two workboats are working a treat. We finished discharging all 10 foot ISO containers specifically designed for the inland Traverse project. Next we unloaded the remaining 12 x ½ height containers ATK (aviation turbine kerosene). Once these left the deck all cargo from the hatch lids has been sent ashore. This is quite an achievement as the manner in which the cargo had to be stowed on the deck created some interesting challenges of which were overcome with ship and station working closely together.

We have now split the pontoons into two with each being made up of two pontoons and our two workboats pushing on set each.

All day we have been watching a particular large chunk of ice waiting to break off into the bay. Some smaller pieces have been breaking off all day but the large piece remains in place but is looking very precarious. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Cheers
Leanne and Jacob
