Comments

Final preparations are underway for our arrival at Casey early on Monday 2nd January. Still no sign of ice or icebergs - how could that be as we have been travelling south for days! Surely we will see an iceberg soon!!! We are all eager to be the first to spot one.

There was a large flock of birds flying near the front of the ship this morning. I believe they may have been Shearwaters and I estimate about 70 of them were looking for a tasty morsel. It is amazing how large groups of birds can fly so close together and not crash into each other. It was quite mesmerizing to watch.

It is hard to believe another year has passed filled with many joyful memories. If you have not had the best of years we wish you a much improved one next year.

From all of us on the Happy Diamond we wish you a Happy New Year and a fantastic and safe 2023.

Cheers,
Leanne and Jacob
