Comments

Another day, another 223NM down and AIVIQ is right on track to arrive in Hobart at 1200 h 11 Jan 23. There are many members of the crew, VL and DVL included, who are excited to get back to Australia and say G'day to loved ones.

The weather has been quite miserable today. After a beautiful sunny afternoon yesterday, the team woke to a cloud covered rainy day with seas still sitting around 4m. For the most part AIVIQ isn't moving around too much, but the waves are just enough to keep people from having a good night sleep and there is certainly a slower and somewhat downbeat mood on board today.

The VL report has now been drafted and copies have been placed around the ship. The team will have today to provide additional comments for review by VM prior to the final version being submitted to shipping. The VL report includes points raised at the after activity review and a series of recommendations aimed at ensuring continuous improvement throughout the AAD.
