Comments

Davis Station, "The Riviera of the South", is living up to its reputation and providing us with more than perfect conditions for resupply operations. Cool conditions overnight and a clear sunny day have allowed for a quick and easy discharge of the critical cargo transported to Davis on the AIVIQ. Trucks and their loads travel the short distance between station and the ship over a 1.5m thick ice road that floats over the water. Preparations for refueling operations are now in full swing, while station has been busy unpacking containers that will be reload with RTA (Return to Australia) cargo for the journey north.

REGARDS: Anthea & Samantha
