Comments

The wildlife tour continues. Minke and humpback whales, emperor and adélie penguins, crabeater seals and flocks of petrels. With each day the concentration of both the ice and the wildlife is gradually increasing. The AIVIQ cuts through the bands of sea ice with barely a bump, only the distinctive and unique sounds of ice, scraping along the side of the vessel. Resupply operational briefings continue, with a palpable sense of nervous excitement among the team, particularly for those heading South for the first time. Last night we changed the clocks back one last time, now aligned with Davis Station and four hours behind Hobart.
REGARDS: Anthea & Samantha
