Comments

The bridge is a hive of activity, with everyone admiring the spectacular 'bergs' the vessel passes by. Each one uniquely different and spectacular. The ocean birds, namely the albatross, are no longer sighted and instead the vessel in flanked by large flocks petrels namely Antarctic petrels and cape petrels, escorting us towards our destination. The first penguin was sighted, a lone emperor, standing proud on a floe of ice, perhaps the welcoming party, dressing in its formal attire. We will continue our cruise west, following the ice edge, before we turn towards Davis and enter the pack ice region, sometime tomorrow afternoon.
