Excitement levels are rising as we are about 24 hours from arrival at Buckles Bay, Macquarie Island. We are now into double checking gear, equipment and plans are being finalised.
With everything in place our start will be dependent on weather and when we get a favourable wind and sea. This is typical to Macca operations, but we will be ready when the right opportunity presents.
Everyone is in good spirits with most getting their sea legs and even a better workout from the ship's roll. Tonight's seabird talk after dinner comes at a perfect time as we continue to enjoy the company of many of the Southern Ocean's star attractions.
