Comments

The weather had remained constituently inconsistent. Enough seas and swell to make it interesting but with most people still up and about and making every meal. We have started to encounter some of the larger sea birds with a wandering albatross soaring nearby most of the morning. The sun has also come out making walking the exterior decks very nice.

With only a 4-day trip, our attention has turned to arrival at Macquarie Island. We are completing our briefings and preparations to make sure we are ready to go when the weather conditions are in our favour. During our environmental briefing today, we were all reminded how special it is being able to see such an amazing nature reserve.

We have found a little time for entertainment, with a couple movies and we will enjoy a presentation tonight on Auroras and tomorrow on seabirds by a couple of our talented teammates.

REGARDS: Christine & Jacob
