We are preparing for our expected arrival at Davis late tonight. We are liaising with Happy Dragon and Davis in populating the resupply roster to assist with cargo operations and support positions on station.

The Happy Dragon have made a great start to the resupply and we are itching on board to get there to help.

Yesterday was a great day for wildlife watching. There were many different types of birds and a lot of weddell seals and adelie penguins lazing around on icefloes. We have not left the large band of ice we were travelling through and sailing through very gentle seas. It was fantastic to see the ice as it was our first taste on this voyage. It is still quite obvious that we are still in Antarctica with the number of icebergs in view and the temperature.

We put forward our clocks 1 hour last night and we will do a second change this afternoon. This will align us with Davis time – 4 hours behind Hobart.

Cheers
Leanne & Matt
