Comments

There is always hope that weather conditions are suitable for refuelling operations at any of our stations. In reality our optimism is not always rewarded. Yesterday was one such occasion. Winds continued to remain high all day. By early afternoon it was obvious that they would not recede sufficiently to send our refuelling team ashore to conduct refuelling briefings and bring the watercraft operators from Happy Dragon to the Aiviq to attend refuelling briefings along with Voyage Management and crew. The Happy Dragon headed out to sea and the Aiviq remained in Kista Strait on DP. As occurs regularly the plans change to accommodate the changing weather conditions and station activities.

This morning the Aiviq has moved into Horseshoe Harbour in position to refuel if the winds settle. The refuelling team and watercraft operators are ashore being briefed on the refuelling operations and their responsibilities along with the station based personnel. Once completed and the opportunity arises we will be in a position to commence refuelling operations.

We are grateful for the assistance of the Happy Dragon. The AAD watercraft and operators travelled on the Happy Dragon to a undertake the dry cargo resupply & without them we will be unable to do refuelling operations.

Cheers
Leanne & Matt
