With a return to more typical Mawson weather this morning of Katabatic winds and biting cold we were keen to get started with resupply, but Antarctic operations are never as easy as you think and we were once again delayed by the 'A-Factor' whilst the ship's crew worked tirelessly to identify and rectify some technical issues. What can you do when a cargo ship cannot discharge its cargo? You send the human cargo ashore and put them to work inspecting RTA cargo, helping prepare for the refuel operations, and if the weather calms down we'll send the station boats out to support some science. Hopes are high to commence cargo operations this afternoon with the station eagerly awaiting their mail and some fresh food.
