This morning before breakfast, on the Bridge Michael spotted our first superstructure size iceberg! Off to the port side we sailed past the enormous icy structure as we began to enjoy our breakfast. This sighting of the berg has now excited all travelling to Mawson for our first mission. Today also brings out a tradition that started in earloer times when passing 60 degrees south. Three expeditioners onboard today will be gifted their Neptune Certificates, a change of clothes may be required, as the tradition as at times can get a little messy and smelly. Congratulations Michael, Jacob and Will, now being dubbed a south polar sea dog. Just moments before this ceremony commenced, our trusted ice berg hunter Michael located our second berg sighting for the day.
Regards
Dave and Jacob
