With rough seas all through the night and the ship's crew working hard to keep the Happy Dragon pointed into the waves there was little sleep to be had on board. This morning's breakfast table conversation was about how we'd all constructed our pillow forts of bags, mattresses and clothing to wedge ourselves against a wall and get a few hours sleep before you are once again momentarily airborne as the ship crests one of the 10m+ waves that appear out of nowhere. It's truly spectacular seeing the Southern Ocean throw our giant cargo ship around and reminding us that when you're travelling to Antarctica, getting there is all the fun.

David and Jacob.
