There is ocean all around us, but we sense we have company and not just the biggest wandering albatross or the first Sei whale we've seen this voyage but our sister AAD ships. One in front, the speedy Happy Dragon, and astern Australia's new icebreaker the Nuyina. It is unusual, in its self, to have three ships working in the program and even more so for us to be returning from the first half of the season so close together. Currently, we are keeping a watchful eye astern just in case Nuyina tries to close the gap.
We also took time today to show the crew some of our favourite places in Australia as we tucked into an Aussie themed lunch. The food was exceptional, the company great and it made for a delightful afternoon. We also gave the crew "swag" as they call it, known to us as gifts or trinkets, to thank them for their wonderful hospitality and assistance throughout V3.
Hobart feels close as we are now on (+11)
