So today AIVIQ will cross the 60S latitude for the first time in her history and there are 24 of us onboard which will be anointed by King Neptune and his trusty assistant on the bridge tonight.
The competition on the first "bergy bit" sighting has also heated up as the ice images provided by BOM show there are many icebergs in the vicinity and ahead. There is a steady stream up expeditioners and crew to the exterior deck and bridge to be the first to locate and report. The clocks will change for the last time tonight, to (+7) and our ETA for Davis is firming up as late Wednesday to early Thursday.
