We crossed 60S at exactly 8:01pm last night and King (Bloo) Neptune appeared on the bridge by elevator from the deep dark depths in full regalia, including crown and trident with his trusty assistant, Mistress of Fish, Dr Anne announcing his arrival. The crowd grew quiet as the ceremony started with 'let it be known' as 24 of the 33 of those aboard were anointed as we crossed into the Southern Realm of the oceans of the world.

The wonder of the Southern Realm continued as icebergs glided down the port and starboard and whales cruised slowly past throughout the night and into the day. It is hard to really describe the beauty of what we see and we know photos do not really do it justice, but we try. But for those of us onboard the AIVIQ it has truly been a special day.

REGARDS: Christine & Bloo
