Comments

Over the last couple of days, the daily forecast has reported a "deep low-pressure system crossing south of your track". The Master has decided to slow our speed to allow the storm to pass and lessen the severity of the weather on ship and crew. We have also done a full walk around to ensure all is properly stowed and tied down as we anticipate increased roll and pitch.

As our passage southwest continues, last night we crossed the convergence zone, where the two waters meet, the cold Antarctic flow and the warmer water of the sub-Antarctic and although it was dark we imagined large ocean mammals feasting on krill around us and tonight, as we move west in latitude, we wind our clocks back another hour (+9).
