Croissants mark the passing of time.
After a month aboard the Happy Dragon time is not defined by specific days of the week, or even by the notion of weekdays and weekends. Instead, there has become a very straightforward way to distinguish the days; operational days verses non-operational days. Operational days, as it suggests, are days when we conduct cargo operations. Non-operational days can perhaps be broken into sub-categories. Non-operational due to poor weather (of which we have had several) and non-operational days due to other factors, in today's instance, refueling operations from Nuyina. It appears, however, that Ian and Eddie, the ships cooks, have a different way of marking time and that is with food. For them, today is a non-operational day with croissants for breakfast, and on the Happy Dragon, croissants mean it's Sunday.
REGARDS: Anthea and Misty.
