The message on the mess whiteboard reads:
"Max. windspeed observed 134 knots.
Engineers, officers and helmsmen, Thank you for your splendid work!"
We couldn't agree more!
While wind speeds were peaking at 134 knots (that's 248 km/ hour) at 3:12am, most of the AAD expeditioners were blissfully tucked up in their bunks. Meanwhile, the ship's crew were exceptional; holding the bow to the wind with the exact amount of forward power to keep us on anchor. We applaud the expertise and commitment of the Captain and crew of the Happy Dragon for seeing us safety through the stormy night.
REGARDS: Anthea and Misty.
